Urban character cards are built around ordinary people with a trade and a personality: a night-shift barista, a neon perfumer, a pet photographer, a bonsai master, a volcanologist, a retired criminal investigator. Their stories happen in cafés, studios, late-night radio booths and city streets, places readers already recognise.

This is the largest set and it covers healing slice-of-life, workplace, mystery, art and sport. If you want a protagonist who can carry a whole short comic, or a character with a clear everyday stage, start here. Every card comes with artwork, a full-body image and a model sheet so the character stays consistent once you use them in a comic.

How to pick an urban character

For healing slice-of-life

Craftspeople and shop owners such as the night-shift barista, the herbal tea shop owner or the glass candy artist come with warm working spaces that suit slow, gentle stories.

For mystery or professional drama

A retired criminal investigator, a stoic forensic pathologist, a fire investigator or a crisis negotiation expert all come with events they can handle, which suits a series.

For fashion and art

A fashion photographer, a stage stylist, an electronic music producer or an old-city muralist show the person behind the work, and give you striking visuals.
