Panel-by-panel breakdown
This template has no printed dialogue. The story is told entirely through the artwork, so each panel below is described from the image.
Panel 1
At a wooden table, a man in a mint tee and a woman in an orange sweater draw icons onto a round wheel with markers: a broom, bin, vacuum, laundry basket, spray bottle, dishes and toilet in pastel segments.
Panel 2
The wheel spins in a colourful blur. He presses his palms together like a prayer, and she clenches both fists, eyes wide with hope.
Panel 3
He points at the segment under the arrow with a smug grin while she holds a mop, frowns and raises one finger to argue.
Panel 4
A tabby cat leaps over the sofa and sends a potted plant flying. Both roommates kneel on the floor sweeping up spilled soil with a brush, dustpan and cloth, sweating, the wheel forgotten behind them.

Who this template suits
This template suits roommates, couples, siblings and anyone negotiating house chores. The wheel icons are universal, and the cat twist gives a fair ending: everyone cleans. It fits home life, roommate humour and pet accounts.
When it is not a good fit
It is not built for solo characters or quiet, emotional stories.
How to remix The Roommate Chore Wheel
- 1Draw the chore wheel together in the first panel, icons only.
- 2Let the spin and the result start a small argument.
- 3End with a pet or accident that makes both clean side by side.
Ways to make it your own
Change the wheel
Spin for who pays for dinner, who picks the movie or who walks the dog.
Change the chaos
Swap the cat for a toddler, a puppy or a burst pipe.
Add a cheat
Show one roommate secretly taping the arrow in panel 2.
Questions about The Roommate Chore Wheel
Why is the wheel hand-drawn?
Drawing it together in panel 1 sets up the promise of fairness that the ending undercuts.
Is there text on the wheel?
No. Every chore is shown as an icon, so it reads in any language.
Where is the twist?
Panel 4, when the cat creates a mess that both have to clean.
