Panel-by-panel breakdown
This template has no printed dialogue. The story is told entirely through the artwork, so each panel below is described from the image.
Panel 1
In front of a green door, a woman in a yellow hoodie steps out smiling, holding a long red leash while her golden retriever bounds ahead.
Panel 2
The dog leaps into a big puddle with a splash, and she skids behind it, leaning back on the leash.
Panel 3
The dog has its nose glued to a tree trunk; she braces with both hands, pulling with all her strength.
Panel 4
A small heart pops above the dog as it noses into pink flowers; she kneels and tugs, sweating.
Panel 5
Ducks take off from the path and the dog charges; she is pulled completely off her feet, flying horizontally.
Panel 6
Back at the door, she stands covered in mud, eyes shut, letting out a tired sigh, while the dog proudly carries the leash in its mouth.

Who this template suits
This template suits pet owners, dog accounts and slapstick single-character comics. Each panel adds a new distraction, so the escalation is easy to follow and easy to swap with your own pet's habits. It fits pet humour, family and lifestyle content.
When it is not a good fit
It is not meant for calm or romantic stories, or for scenes that need talking.
How to remix Who Is Walking Whom?
- 1Keep the long bright leash visible in every panel.
- 2Add one new distraction per panel and make the pull stronger each time.
- 3End at the front door with the human wrecked and the pet proud.
Ways to make it your own
Use your own pet
A cat on a harness, a goat on a farm or a very determined corgi.
Change the distractions
Swap ducks for squirrels, a food truck or another dog.
Flip the ending
The owner drags herself home and the dog, still full of energy, brings the leash back for round two.
Questions about Who Is Walking Whom?
What makes the last panel work?
The dog holding its own leash shows who was really in charge of the walk.
Does the leash need to be red?
Not required, but a bright leash makes the pulling easy to follow across all six panels.
Can the human be my character?
Yes. It is a single-character template plus the pet; your character takes the owner's role.
