Appearance
Long wavy light brown hair half tied back, two blue crossed clips in her bangs, brown eyes, ear cuffs and a sweet, bright smile. One hand holds the brim of a wide straw hat as she tilts her head slightly.
Signature outfit
A wide-brimmed straw hat with a lavender satin ribbon tied into a big bow at the back, a lavender-white sundress with ruffled straps, bows at the chest and waist and a row of small buttons, and a heart pendant necklace.
Where you will find them
A flower field in full sun. White daisies and golden blooms surround her, the light is so bright it almost washes out, and a few petals drift through the air.
Personality and what makes them interesting
A built-in holiday mood
She carries an airy vacation feel, as if always enjoying the good and easy side of life. The straw hat and flower field make that feeling visible.
The classic sunny heroine
In romance comics she can melt the male lead's icy heart with her optimism or create countless sweet little moments in everyday life.
Characters that pair well
Suggested pairing: a cold, quiet male lead
This is the direction the official profile gives: her optimism slowly thaws his guarded heart, perfect for a slow-burn sweet romance.
Suggested pairing: an equally energetic best friend
Two people who cannot sit still come up with something new every summer, great for light friendship side stories.
Story hooks
The hat on the wind
A possible opening: a gust carries her straw hat deep into the flower field, and the person who picks it up is a cool, unfamiliar face.
The last fireworks of summer
On the final night of the holidays, the person she is waiting for is late, and she stays by the field alone for the fireworks.
Out in the rain anyway
Everyone else cancels because of rain, but Xia Zhiqing runs to the flower field with an umbrella, insisting flowers look best after rain.
